Apple has made some drastic move to support its employee's cause. It has been affirmed that Apple has delayed the release of its earnings. Not because Apple eludes the limelight but Apple aims on allowing its employees to attend a memorial service for Bill Campbell, who is the mentor of Steve Jobs, Larry Page, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
According to a post from CNET, "Apple has postponed the release of its second-quarter earnings by a day to allow employees to attend a memorial service for Bill Campbell, a longtime Apple board member who died earlier this week."
Campbell, a mentor to such tech leaders as Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Google co-founder Larry Page, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, died Monday at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer and he was one of the first directors appointed to Apple's board in 1997, when Jobs returned to the company he co-founded, according to the same report. In terms of career portfolio, Campbell served on the board until 2014, marking him as the longest-serving board member in Apple's history.
It is undeniable that the tech giant has dominated the sales and the industry for many years and it has continued to surpass other brands owing to its vision and innovations. A former post from Jobs & Hire has relayed how Apple has aimed to seek ways for growth and development to further expand its business empire.
As Apple pays homage to one of the pillars of its organization, Bill Campbell, the company is set to rescheduled the release of its earning after the respect and commemoration is done. Bill Campbell has mentored Steve Jobs, Larry Page, and Mark Zuckerberg and it is just fitting that he gained the respect that he deserves.
