Lady Gaga, Steve Jobs Were Fired Before They Became Super Successful

It is never an easy life. If somebody told you that you can go through life without so many encumbrances, then that person must have been born yesterday.

So, if you've just been kicked out of your job, don't be discouraged. All workers, white and blue collar, must go through this rite of passage. Even the rich and the famous such as Lady Gaga and Steve Jobs and others, have suffered the shame of being fired from their jobs.

Look at the example of Lady Gaga.

She was enrolled at a New York-based musical school, the Collaborative Arts Project 21 but for some reason or another she dropped out. She ventured into some petty singing gigs after that and gained some modicum of followers.

Then she met Rob Fusari who helped her cut some tracks they hoped to sell to those in the music industry. But again, for one reason or another, she was dropped by a major record label after only three weeks of being signed.

But she didn't stop, and with Fusari on her side, she signed into another label in 2008 which released "The Fame," her debut album. The rest, as many often say, is history.

And then there is the striking example of Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Inc.

Jobs, who is now one of the dearly departed, was not only fired from his job. He was kicked out of his own company which he co-founded. However, Jobs turned the tide over, and worked on other things and that established his legacy.

He established NeXT, a tech company that served the business crowd and one division of Lucas film's computer graphics division which later evolved into the now famous Pixar movies.

Then he got his revenge when he returned to Apple a couple of years later and launched the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad, tech gadgets that trail-blazed the computer and mobile industry.

The list doesn't stop there. There's Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Seinfeld, JK Rowling, James Hetfield, the lead singer of Metallica, and many more who were fired from their job before they reached their own pinnacle of success.
