Margot Robbie is known for her role in Martin Scorcese's "The Wolf of Wall Street" as Naomi Lapaglia. Recently, she has joined the odd crew of crazies in "Suicide Squad" as Harley Quinn. Now, she's going full "American Psyco"
In her Vogue cover appearance, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn now turns "American Psycho" in Patrick Bateman's remake film. Margot Robbie proceeds with that infamous morning routine scene. She captures the American accent pretty well, which is good for her movie roles and career. Mirroring this video, she describes her routine but switches out a few details from the original. Putting her own twist, she uses two cold spoons instead of an ice pack. At the back you can see a huge jar of Vegemite and a Hamilton poster (it used to be a Les MIserables poster).
Peeling the iconic face mask off, she says "There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. Maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable. I simply am not there."
Maybe it is her indulgence when Margot Robbie acted as Harley Quinn, or maybe she really touched the American Psycho side because at the end, she managed to show a smile and returned to her regular Australian accent programming, dancing in the living room. GQ describes the scene as funny and mesmerizing because Margot's beauty is known. She is sought after but she goes for particularly unique and different roles. Because, can you imagine anyone else doing that memorable scene when Leonardo diCaprio was on all fours?
Now, everybody would just have to wait for Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn to show up in "Suicide Squad."
