Recent news and updates revealed that SpaceX might engage in military endeavors but it seems uncertain for now. Also, notions of SpaceX treading on dangerous ground if it engages in military ventures arise.
It appears that the success of SpaceX has attained owing to its Falcon 9 and other successful space missions has ushered a new environment wherein the company could flourish and grow. A report from Daily Kos revealed that space missions could be further augmented by SpaceX if it does chose to become involved with the military ventures but it seems that SpaceX is more worried of gaining ambitions dreams rather than focus on military goals and visions.
Since the Falcon 9 was successful in all of its undertakings, many are wondering on why not incorporate and involve SpaceX so that the military missions would be achieved on a faster pace. However, it might be easier said than done. There would have to be some modifications made and a certification or two cleared to handle the most sensitive payloads, and given the fact that the Falcon 9s aren't built overnight, only so many can be assembled at once using current facilities, and they're more and more in demand, reports the same post.
Nevertheless, SpaceX is a company that is solely focused on strengthening space missions and other dreams. It seems that SpaceX aims wants to achieve much in its existence and attain diversity for all of its plans. To prove the latter, a given post from Jobs & Hire, revealed of how Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, is not the type of person that does not prepare his laurels. He aims on opening a long-term quest to land people on Mars and the plan begins with a Dragon capsule, similar to one of the cargo ships now parked at the International Space Station, blasting off for Mars aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket as early as 2018.
Although SpaceX has not rendered any affirmations of engaging in direct military plans and tactics, it would still seem that SpaceX is treading on dangerous ground since it is a new area of expertise that the company has ventured in the past.
