Recent Jaden Smith 2016 news revealed that the actor's relationship with girlfriend Sarah Snyder may be causing problems within the Smith family. The 21-year-old model is caught up in a drug scandal.
Radar Online reported that Jaden Smith's girlfriend, Sarah Snyder, was tagged in compromising Instagram videos. One scandalous clip showed the 21-year-old model sniffing a white, powdery substance which was said to be "cocaine."
Another video featured Snyder taking a puff on a cigarette. Afterwards, in what has got to be the most shocking photo of the model, Sarah Snyder was spotted with multiple pills, which is believed to be Xanax, on her tongue.
According to the National Enquirer, via RWS, the video has caused a "big rift" within the Smith family. Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith are said to be furious and have scolded their son about his relationship with Sarah Snyder.
This is not the first time that Jaden Smith's girlfriend, Sarah Snyder, has had a run-in with the law. In June last year, she was charged for grand larceny in the third degree.
Snyder was accused of the theft of a $15,995 Hermès purse from the Route 117 Bypass Shopping Center in Katonah, NY, in Feb. 2015. In a February report by Page Six this year, it was revealed that the model was acquitted.
Jaden Smith's girlfriend detailed her ordeal through a post on Harper's Bazaar. She admitted to "freaking out" as she was taken by police to custody. She also revealed how it has damaged her reputation and career.
"I feel no one believes me but my dad," she wrote. "I just feel like it's a crazy situation."
"I've gotten so much hate from this. My reputation is so bad now. I know a lot of companies haven't worked with me because of this situation. I lost a recent fashion magazine editorial. The bigger companies are like,' No, that's going to make us look bad.' I have been through so much for something I didn't do."
