OnePlus 3 Phone Reviews: Phone Called A Powerhouse

Many smartphone makers are making their marks in the industry but there is one smartphone maker that is taking the market by storm. Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has returned with a new flagship phone called the OnePlus 3.

It's the newest generation among its OnePlus predecessors. USA Today has it at a price marked at $399. It's a much more inexpensive alternative compared to other phone brands like Apple, Samsung, LG or HTC. It offers a sleeker device for a much more affordable price.

It offers top of the line specs at a discount price. For the price, it brings the phone to users as an unlocked device. It comes with the latest Qualcomm processor, fingerprint sensor, 6 GB of RAM and a 16 megapixel rear camera. All of these features housed in an aluminum frame that mirrors the same aesthetics from that of other brands.

Other colors are also available with a custom back cover. With only $24.99 to spare, users can avail of various woods. There are two kinds: "Karbon" which looks similar to Kevlar and "Sandstone." It's a neat way to spice up the phone.

The OnePlus 3 boasts of a 5.5 inch full HD screen. It is powered by its own operating system, OxygenOS. The battery life of the phone was said to last all day and has a quick-charging technology that gives the users over 31% charge in just fifteen minutes.

Generally, the phone is reviewed to be great. However, it has no wireless charging and it's not water resistant. Users would have wanted a microSD slot for storage expansion. Further checks on the phone revealed that the phone's camera struggles in low-lit environments. Images don't produce sharp results.

Still, the phone has much horsepower and it is still one of the top recommended phones in the price range that can compete with bigger brands.
