After a long wait, it has finally come. The official One Punch Man season 2 release date has been announced by Toonami.
The official post by Toonami was posted on Twitter. The schedule of One Punch Man season 2 has been officially revealed. It has been a long frustrating experience for One Punch Man fans. It was speculated earlier on that there was a delay because there was lack of material and that the release of the second installment will not happen until 2017.
Disappointed fans can now rest easy because Toonami has recently posted the last say. The guy who can destroy things with one punch will officially air sooner than expected. In a surprise announcement on Twitter, One Punch Man will air this month on July 16, 2016.
Speculations about the delay can now rest. Based on the promo teaser, we see One Punch Man bored with life. He can no longer feel any emotions and he just fights to get a kick out of it.
It is not clear what the second season will be about as the plot is a tad scarce for the time being but the promo teaser did reveal probable villains that he will encounter. It as recently announced during this year's Anime Expo that Max Mittelman, the man behind the voices of cartoons, anime and video games, will also be the voice behind Saitama. An English dubbed version will be released in Toonami. Mittelman has made a career out of voicing CGI, animation and games. He is known for the voice of Blurr in Transformers: Rescue Bots, Ultimate Spider-Man as Rhino and Quarren in Star Wars: Battlefront.
It is also thought that Lord Boros will come back because of his regenerative powers. He was unable to beat One Punch Man before. Will he beat him this time given that One Punch Man does not feel like getting out of bed? Barely less than two weeks left until the premiere of One Punch Man season 2 in Toonami happens.
