She might have a long list of ex-lovers and bad blood over former friends but Taylor Swift sure works harder than anybody else as she currently topped Forbes' Highest Paid Women in Music this year.
In a list released by Forbes, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter dethroned her "straight-up enemy" Katy Perry, who coveted the spot last year with $135M income, mostly because of her Prismatic World Tour.
Meanwhile, Swift achieved probably one of her "Wildest Dreams" as she ranked first this year, earning almost $170M from her endorsements and 1989 World Tour.
Following Swift is English soulful singer Adele who pulled in $80.5 M from her album 25 and various live performances. Landing on the 3rd spot is the "Rebel Heart" singer-songwriter Madonna with $76.5M, Rihanna worked with $75M, and of course, the one who made everyone ask for "Lemonade", Queen Bey or Beyonce with $54M.
Last year, Swift placed second to the California-born Perry but because of the former's continuous endorsements with Keds, Diet Coke, and Apple, plus her million-earning world tour, the "Rise" singer failed to rise this time.
In an interview with Forbes, entertainment attorney Lori Landew said, "She (Swift) has been building her fan base for years, and that fan base crosses multiple market segments."
"It's this ability to appeal to younger and older audiences, and those in between, that makes Taylor such a sure bet with both concert promoters and brands," Landew added.
In fact, it was previously reported that the Pennsylvania-raised singer's only concert this year filled the Circuit of the Americas in Texas almost 80,000 "Swifties" from different states.
Swift might regularly be called a bitch or be involved with endless drama with fellow artists but she definitely has the "bragging rights over the singer-songwriter who may be her foe" as Forbes put it.
