Floyd Mayweather Jr. was spotted sitting ringside for Pacman on the Manny Pacquiao fight against Jessie Vargas. One of the most historical events in boxing history took place on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The retired legend came in just a few moments before the fight started. His presence that only a few people failed to notice was made more interesting when he took the seat on Pacquiao's ringside.
Before the Pacquiao, Vargas fight officially started, Manny managed to notice the presence of one of his guests who happened to be his former opponent. He showed appreciation for Mayweather's support by throwing him a smile and raising and waving his right glove at him.
The game ended up after twelve rounds in favor of Manny Pacquiao. He made an impressive win garnering scores of 118-109 (Glenn Trowbridge), 118-109 (Glenn Feldman) and 115-113 (Carl Moretti) by the end of the game.
Jessie Vargas described the match as a real boxing. He said that fighting Manny Pacquiao takes a lot of alertness at all times as there were lots of punches coming his way. He compared the match to a very fast game of chess, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Floyd expressed his satisfaction on Pacquiao's performance saying his former opponents fight was "not bad," on one of the interviews after the match. Manny on the other hand joyfully shared how he felt about the game saying that he tried to knock Vargas down on every round.
When the 37-year old Philippine Senator was asked about a rematch with Mayweather, Pacquiao smiled and answered that he will fight whoever the people want him to and he is not going to pick his opponent. The said statement together with Mayweather's appearance on the scene fueled a speculation for the Pacquiao, Mayweather rematch in 2017.
Both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are retired. However, Pacquiao proved seven months after his retirement that he still indefinable, as per the Bleacher Report.
