Millions of fans have been dying to see the much awaited "Avatar 2" but it seems that fans would wait a little longer. Latest news and updates confirm that Sam Worthington and Zoe Zaldana don't want to take part in the movie sequel. Conflicts between the casts and the production staff seems to be the main reason why the sequel might not be released soon.
Financial problems could be the main reason why Worthington and Zaldana refuse to take the roles. In a report by Movie News Guide, the two lead actors are demanding a huge chunk of money to repeat their roles in "Avatar 2."
Sources say that the new people replacing the lead roles in "Avatar 2" would be the casts who are returning from the first movie. Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver are the two mentioned names that would definitely take part. But Worthington and Zaldana haven't commented on the issue yet so there could still be changes in the following months to come.
The first Avatar movie was released back in 2009 and fans are wondering why the sequel took so long to be released. But according to Cinema Blend, James Cameron, Avatar director, plans to film the three future movie sequels back to back.
Fans also need to take note that James Cameron is known for his deliberate pace in making film projects. A good example would be the 12 long years "Avatar" was released after "Titanic". Those two movies were blockbuster hits so fans should expect that "Avatar 2" would be one as well. If ever problems with delays are resolved, the release of the movie installments would be as follows: "Avatar 2" on December 25,2017, "Avatar 3" on December 2018 and "Avatar 4" on December 2019.
The Avatar franchise is definitely one that people need to look out for. If ever "Avatar 2" hits the movie screens next year, it would surely satisfy a lot of fans.
