Sacramento Kings' power forward DeMarcus Cousins has been included in the NBA trade rumors since the start of the season. The Kings are off to a good start but with big "Boogie's" expiring contract, the franchise might let him go. Now, the Portland Trailblazers are all-ears as they look to acquire Cousins to team up with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum as they make their own version of a big three.
The Kings are off to 4-5 start this season ranking 10th in the western conference and it seems that everything is going well for the franchise. But according to Bleacher Report, Cousins has only one year left on his contract and if the Kings can't make him stay, they might lose him for nothing if they don't trade him.
In a report by Sportsrageous, the Portland Trailblazers are willing to offer Allen Crabbe, Moe Harkless, Evan Turner and Meyers Leonard in exchange for Cousins. There are no confirmations yet about these NBA trade rumors but the Kings are somehow trying to shop Cousins in the trade market.
Cousins has some big personality issues not just on the court but also in the locker room. Some of these frustrations are a result of the Kings not being able to become a playoff contending team. Now, with Cousins being in the Trailblazers and teaming up with Lillard and McCollum, he might be able to shrug off those frustrations and get some load off his back.
The Trailblazers' defense is a work in progress and they could really use a big man like Cousins as the team lacks depth in the frontcourt. Cousins is a beast in the paint averaging 25.8 PPG, 8.6 RPG and 1.1BLKPG this season according to ESPN.
These NBA trade rumors are not far from happening and it could happen in the post season. If everything falls into place, the Portland Trailblazers is definitely a team to look out for.
