"Half Life 3" has been the focus of rumors and speculations especially since the popular Valve title is approaching its Th Anniversary. There have been reports that basically confirm that the game is already in development. VR support is also confirmed to be featured in the third installment of "Half Life."
After playing "Half Life 2" for nearly over a decade, it is reasonable for players to want a third installment to the popular franchise. Multiple rumors have been spreading across the internet about the game's release, however, none of them have been confirmed by Valve.
There was a recent update about the game's VR development. The representative of Valve Corporation Chet Faliszek has denied that "Half Life 3" will not be in VR. According to Faliszek any game that will incorporate VR will take some time to develop, and because of that, the company is not considering VR Support at the moment.
With that update about the game's VR support, there are some fans who are happy about it and some are not so pleased. On the bright side, that still serves as a confirmation from the company, although it does mean that the update that many have been wishing for will not become a reality.
According to University Herald, Valve has considered the long time it would take to incorporate VR into the game. The lengthy development is starting to look like a reason not to have VR for the game. With that being said, if it is any consolation, the statement itself proves that "Half Life 3" is in development.
After a decade of waiting, many fans did home to explore outer space and battle vicious aliens in VR. However, this possibility has been slammed, along with a minor hint that the game is already in production.
