The Golden State Warriors, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Indiana Pacers are rumored to be working on a blockbuster seven-player, three-team trade deal. In this trade scenario, the Golden State Warriors would receive Khris Middleton, Monta Ellis, and John Henson, the Milwaukee Bucks would receive Paul George and Zaza Pachulia, and the Indiana Pacers would get Klay Thompson and Jabari Parker.
All-star guard Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors' early season shooting struggle just adds fuel to the fire that the other half of the "splash brothers" is on his way out of the bay area. Add this with the arrival of former NBA MVP Kevin Durrant, Klay Thompson seems to be the odd-man out in the Warriors' lineup and some would say that KD's acquisition made Thompson expandable.
According to a report from SB Nation All-star Paul George of the Indiana Pacers is seemingly frustrated with the Pacers' lack of chemistry. "We're all out of whack," speaking to Nate Taylor of the Indiapolis Star. "There's no trust, there's no chemistry, there's no belief. We're kind of just lifeless right now."
With the arrival of the Greg Monroe, the Milwaukee Bucks center John Henson has seen his role with the team diminished. The 25-year old center has become a fan-favorite in Milwaukee mostly because of his defensive intensity and energy. But with Monroe in the fold, it seems unlikely that Henson would crack the Bucks' starting line-up anytime soon.
However, this trade scenario is not likely to push through as it fails to satisfy the basic qualifications for a trade to happen. One reason involves Milwaukee guard Khris Middleton's injury (ruptured left hamstring). Any GM worth his salt would not risk acquiring a player with an injury this severe.
According to Inquisitr, another trade-killing factor is the contract of Zaza Pachulia. The Golden State Warriors' center signed a one-year deal which makes him trade-eligible only from December 15, 2016. Add this to the fact that the trade will see the Warriors taking in too much salary.
The Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers have maintained that Klay Thompson and Paul George are not on the trading block. However, with both teams' relatively slow start, they are likely considering shuffling their rosters to improve their chances. But shuffling their rosters would unlikely involve trading the two all-stars.
