'Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress' Release Date, News & Updates: Auditions For Kabane Voices Now Open; Compilation Films To Air December 2016

"Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress" instantly became a fan favorite when it aired this year. The zombie-apocalypse anime series nabbed multiple awards and had fans craving for a second season.

However, according to Game N Guide, the second season of "Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress" will be delayed until 2019. Possibly because of the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 air date. As a consolation, the producers are releasing a couple of compilation films slated for release by the end of the year.

According to News Everyday, fans who are chosen to be voice actors for the upcoming compilation films will be properly credited in the final films. In addition, the audition is relatively convenient for fans. The producers even chose a scene for auditionees to practice with. The said video can be found at the end of the article.

Auditionees will be required to record their groans and screams on Nana, then use the hashtag #kabane_voice. There is also a Japanese-exclusive application form that can be found online, the said form needs to be filled out and submitted. The schedule for the voice casting of the second film is on November 15. According to reports, there are ten slots available for each film. Successful auditionees will be announced this coming December.

Moreover, there will be a lottery to choose the lucky voice actors who will get to attend the premiere of the "Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress." The five lucky voice actors will also be allowed to bring a plus one of their choice. There are two compilation films heading our way, the first compilation films for "Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress" is entitled "Tsudou Hikari" ("Gathering Light") and is scheduled to be released on December 31. The second film is "Moeru Inochi" ("Burning Life") and is slated for release on January 7.

As fans await the second season of "Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress" the expectations for these compilation films are rising. It is known that the original anime film for the title received multiple awards and fans just loved it. The film actually nabbed Best Work, Best Soundtrack, Best Screenplay and Character Design Honors at the Newtype Anime Awards 2016.

Meanwhile, the release date of the second season of "Attack on Titan" is in February 2017 which reportedly caused the delay of "Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress" Season 2. Instead of the planned 2017 release date, it has been moved to 2019.
