There have been many speculations and rumors about Disney's "Girl Meets World" getting canceled. However, most reports only contain bits and pieces of information that only leaves many fans even more confused. So, what is the real deal?
Here is a fact, Disney has not announced whether "Girl Meets World" is being canceled. However, Disney has also not announced that it is being renewed for another season. So, basically, fans are left in the dark about a probable new season. This is probably why most fans are feeling antsy about the whole thing.
Another fact, some of the key characters in the series have taken on other projects recently. However, taking on a new project is not a guarantee that it will affect their role in the series.
So what can these facts mean? Christian Times is speculating that these clues are pointing towards a possible cancellation. Furthermore, the current season of "Girl Meets World" is said to be so spread out that each episode has a big gap between them. Besides, there are only five episodes left with the last one titled "Goodbye" which fans are speculating to be the final episode of the whole series.
iTech Post mentioned that the stars are moving on to other projects. Sabrina Carpenter who plays as Maya has recently released an album titled "Evolution." She is going on an album tour and will be very busy with her singing career for a few months.
Meanwhile, Rowan Blanchard who plays as Riley has joined the cast of "A Wrinkle in Time." There is no word yet on what role she will be playing in the upcoming movie.
