Reki Kawahara is known for her two anime-turned light novels, "Accel World" and "Sword Art Online." Both titles became a huge hit and develop massive fan bases. Now the two worlds will clash in Banda Namco's new game "Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online: Millennium twilight."
"Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight" was unveiled when Banda Namco Entertainment launched a website that simply flaunts the new game. The website is sort of a teaser since it only showcases a glimpse of what the game will be like. Moreover, it was stated on the site that "Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight" will only be playable on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Furthermore, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced their new game during the "Dengeki Bunko Aki No Saiten 2016" event on Sunday, right when they launched the game's website, too. According to Anime News Network, "Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online: Millenium Twilight" is an action RPG that carries the tagline, "Cross through time and the worlds of acceleration and imagination will clash."
Considering that catchy tagline, fans of Reki Kawahara's light novels would know that "Sword Art Online" begins in the year 2022, while "Accel World" is set further into the future in the year 2046. These two worlds from different times will clash in the upcoming Banda Namco game and it is interesting to see which of the two would reign supreme.
"Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight" is slated for release in 2017 for Japan. It is said that the new action RPG game will only be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Meanwhile, the release date for the rest of the world is yet to be set. Stay tunes to Jobs & Hire for more news on the upcoming Bandai Namco game.
