TV espionage drama, "The Americans" has been burning up the boob tube as of late. And the show is looking to add a bit more of TV star power when news of "Walking Dead" alum Laurie Holden and TV Vet Brett Tucker will be joining the crew for Season 5.
According to Master Herald, the two celebrities have been confirmed to join the cold war drama next year. Holden, who is most famous for her role as Andrea on "The Walking Dead" will be taking on the role of Renee, a new girl on the block who may become a love interest for Stan Beerman.
And this may lead to an arc that will cause some marital problems for the FBI agent. A good question would be is that whether or not Renee is planted by the KGB? Either way, fans will be excited by Andrea's return to TV. This time though she will be caught up between spies instead of zombie hordes.
As for Brett Tucker, he will be donning a lab gown with gloves as he will be given a scientist type role which presumably will be Cold War related. His character is said to be charming and likeable but will suddenly turn into a much darker and deeper persona. Details are a bit sparse at the moment about how his character will affect the entire plot.
"The Americans" is coming off a critically acclaimed season four with a lot of praise and award nominations.
