"Clash of Clans" developer Supercell has been tight-lipped with regards to information for its December 2016 Update. After introducing "Clash-A-Rama" via Twitter, Supercell has gone uncharacteristically quiet again, neither confirming nor denying rumors relating to its December event. Meanwhile, "Pokémon GO," has just announced a new update to its features via Facebook.
"Clash of Clans" has been reeling since "Pokémon GO" came into the mobile gaming scene last July 2016. Just a few hours ago, "Pokémon Go," via its official Facebook Page, announced that it has tweaked its "Nearby" and "Sighting" features. According to the said Facebook post, the latest update in "Pokémon GO" was launched in response to "Trainer's" feedback.
"Pokémon GO," developed by Niantic and the Pokémon company, is a location-based augmented reality game. The game itself is based on the widely popular animated series "Pokémon." On the other hand, by introducing "Clash-A-Rama," Supercell seems to be trying its hardest to keep pace with the "Pokémon" franchise. "Clash-A-Rama" is the first ever Clash-world based animated series. The series would feature characters from the games "Clash of Clans" and "Clash Royale."

With the animated series' introduction, players of "Clash of Clans" were hyped. After all, a project like "Clash-A-Rama" would be difficult to keep a secret especially since it is rumored that well-known personalities are involved in developing the animated series. And with a recent report announcing that Supercell has confirmed that the upcoming December 2016 update is in the works, "Clashers" have reasons to believe that the 2016 update will be even more massive than the December 2015 update.
The December "Clash of Clans" 2015 update was a game-changer. The introduction of the Town Hall 11 and other in-game features kept the game head-and-shoulders above its nearest competitors. That is until "Pokémon GO" came into the scene. However, rumors are flying that the "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update may surpass that of the previous years.
Aside from the already-confirmed "Clash-A-Rama," Supercell is expected to roll out never-before-seen features and characters for "Clash of Clans." In a previous article, speculations regarding the introduction of the Red Barbarian King, new battle features, sea-themed creatures, and a water-based base called the "shipwreck" have been reported.
Regardless of whether this "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update can topple the consistent rise of "Pokémon GO," players of "CoC" can expect a better version of the game. And if "Clash of Clans" regains the top spot again before the year ends, it is going to be interesting to see how "Pokémon GO" will respond. That being said, a huge battle for supremacy between "Clash of Clans" and "Pokémon GO" will be worth watching out for.
