Piko Taro's "PPAP" craze is far from being over as the hit novelty song takes over "Sesame Street" for a new viral hit. Is this another LSS-worthy song in the making?
Following the massive success of Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, also known as PPAP, Piko Taro surprised everyone with a new rendition of the worldwide hit. This time, the 43-year-old singer-songwriter joined forces with Sesame Street's Cookie Monster and Elmo.
The leopard-print-loving star graced the set of "Sesame Street" in Japan for a fun-filled segment where he starred as a guest teacher. In the released video, Cookie Monster and Elmo perform their own version of the "PPAP" song called "CBCC" (Cookie-Butter-Choco-Cookie). The duo was even dressed in Piko Taro's trademark leopard-print outfit.
Piko Taro then appeared and teaches the proper "PPAP" dance steps. In the end, the trio delivered an epic dance number to the tune of "PPAP's" parody, "CBCC." According to The Bitbag, the video of the newest viral hit already reached almost a million views since it was uploaded last November 17.
"Sesame Street" is known for its parodies on trending topics. In a previous report by Jobs & Hire, the show featured a parody of the hit HBO series, "Game of Thrones" and wittily called it "Game of Chairs."
Meanwhile, Piko Taro has been confirmed to release a full-length album titled "PPAP." RocketNews24 reported that the said album will feature the original "PPAP" song and its extended version, making a total of 20 original songs.
Fans can expect to hear Piko Taro's unique singing style with songs like "Neo Sunglasses," "I Love Daikon Pickled in Salted Rice Yeast," "Get the Sweets Together and Become a Star" and "Romita Hashimikov" to name a few.
Piko Taro's "PPAP" song has proven to be a huge success. In fact, the fad has made it to the "Guinness World of Records" as the shortest song to be included in the "Billboard Hot 100." And with his latest album coming up plus his collaboration with Sesame Street's Cookie Monster and Elmo, the fabulous Piko Taro is sure to take everyone by storm once again.
