After a long silence from the popular 2011 zombie apocalypse game "Dead Island," many fans believed that the franchise is pretty much dead. However, recent reports claim that there is a new developer in town and they are busy with "Dead Island 2" and more.
The last we heard from the "Dead Island" franchise is that they switched developers. Apparently, Deep Silver got rid of the Yager team and went for Sumo Digital instead. After that shocking news, nothing else followed and this worried many fans. Hence, in time it was believed that the game will no longer come out. To support this theory, according to GameZone, "Dead Island 2" was even removed from steam, solidifying the cancellation rumors.
Fans of the tropical zombie apocalypse can now celebrate because the deafening silence has been broken. According to Game N Guide, Sumo Digital has been busily crafting something new for "Dead Island" fans. Other than confirming that "Dead Island 2" is baking in their oven, the developers are also working on something a little extra.
This new update will definitely fan the flames of the "Dead Island" hype because the original game is going mobile. Kock Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz assured fans that the "Dead Island" franchise is very much alive and that they are working on a mobile version of the original "Dead Island" game.
Aside from the incoming "Dead Island 2," fans get a mobile version of "Dead Island" as well. However, the gameplay and details about the upcoming mobile app are yet to be disclosed. Many are wondering if this mobile version will be in first person perspective, and how it will compare to the console version.
There has yet to be an official announcement regarding the release date of the two games. As for the mobile version, it is unknown if it will be free to play or pay to win. Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates on the tropical zombie apocalypse "Dead Island 2."
