"Girl Meets World" is still waiting for Disney's decision on the fate of the show. Whether it will be renewed or canceled, the cast is still patiently waiting. But it is not for Rowan Blanchard. She wants to make the show as a voice for the new generation. Thus, she urged her fans to campaign for its renewal.
Recently, the network is reportedly recruiting younger stars as replacements for the cast that are past the age bracket for Disney shows. Speculations of the show's cancellation surfaced as new talents cannot really replace the teens deeply associated with the teen show.
TV Line reported that the network just announced that production is about to wrap up on the third season. Furthermore, a network insider tells the source that there is no news yet about a fourth season.
Rowan Blanchard asked the help of the "Girl Meets World" fans to appeal for renewal as per Morning Ledger. Fans are amenable if the show gets renewed in Freeform. Since the characters are now getting into young adulthood, they can watch for it on the new network.
Both Disney and Freeform are silent about it as of now. It seems that the online petition for the renewal is not enough to arrive at a decision. Blanchard still urges fans to make Disney realize that "Girl Meets World" is still the no. 1 teen show at present.
Just like the rest of the cast, Rowan Blanchard hopes that their show will continue because they still have lots of stories to tell. All of them are still not ready to bid adieu to the show and to the friendship that they have enjoyed while on it.
"Girl Meets World" season final episode will air on Dec. 2 entitled "Girl Meets a Christmas Maya." Stay tuned for more celebrity news.
