"Friends" is a popular American television sitcom which first aired on NBC back in 1994. The sitcom was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman and became one of the most popular series of all time because of its humor. The series was composed of great actors such as Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer; who are now popular actors and actresses.
On January 2016, a written report from Independent confirmed that there will be a "Friends" reunion special which left fans ecstatic over the fact that their favorite characters are going to gather up at Central Perk once again after more than a decade. Unfortunately, the news was followed up with another one stating that the reunion is far from being possible due to the stars heavy and busy schedules.
Last Tuesday, the new issue of Life & Style came out and covered a story about "Friends" reunion. The news was even on the cover of the magazine and promised that all details of the show were in the tabloid. According to Gossip Cop, the show is not happening despite the cover story of Life & Style's latest issue. Even if NBC is already offering huge salaries just to get the actors, actresses and producers meet once more and produce "one big and special episode". NBC is obviously happy to do this one more time because it will have a major positive effect on their ratings and advertisements.
Inquisitr also recently wrote that there were rumors stating that Jennifer Aniston is demanding a heart-dropping salary amount of $4 million for this one episode. This might be a little too much since what she's asking for is $3 million more than what the casts made during the last season of the series. Aniston's demands can possibly delay the show if it's ever going to happen because she and her co-stars will first have to agree on their salaries before NBC moves forward with the script.
