Sakura Kinomoto and Keroberos are back as CLAMP has confirmed the revival of "Cardcaptor Sakura" anime series. The upcoming anime is slated for release in 2018 and will feature the Clear Card Arc from the manga and several returning cast members.
CLAMP's "Cardcaptor Sakura" will definitely return in 2018 and fans will be able to see the adorable duo celebrate the manga's 20th anniversary. The good news was revealed in the January issue of shoujo magazine Nakayohi which is slated for release in Japan on December 1st. The TV anime series was all rumors until now that it is finally confirmed to be materializing in a few years.
According to Crunchyroll, Madhouse Studios will still handle the anime adaptation of "Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc" and will feature returning cast members to make the upcoming anime series more memorable and nostalgic. Morio Asaka returns to direct the project once again, along with Sakura Tanga as Sakura Kinomoto, Aya Hisakawa as Keroberos, Junko Iwao as Tomoyo Daidouji, Motoko Kumai as Syaoran Li, Megumi Ogata as Yukito Tsukishiro, and Tomokazu Seki as Toyo Kinomoto.
All the returning cast members will surely bring back memories of the adorable magical girl that reigned supreme in Anime TV back in 1998 to 2000. Looking back, "Cardcaptor Sakura" may just be one of the most loved anime series of all time. Hence, getting a new anime series slash reboot will definitely be a huge hit in 2018.
While Madhouse Studios is busy rebooting the all-time favorite "Cardcaptor Sakura" anime, Toei Animation is also busy with their own piece. Comic Book reports that the said studio also worked on a reboot for "Digimon," while the remake for "Sailor Moon" is also underway.
