If an employee wants to increase his finances in the holidays, it's time to up his LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn added three new features for users to use.
The first feature is the Open Candidates feature. This feature allows users to grab the recruiter's attention.
According to Forbes, more than 1 million people have opened their Open Candidate feature since it was launched in October. The site stressed that users who opened this feature gets twice recruiting inquiries than those who did not.
The second feature is called LinkedIn Salary. It allows users to know what other users want to get paid for the job that they are applying for.
This feature allows users to see their expected salary, bonus and equity data. However, this feature is for premium users only. "If you're not currently earning a salary or don't want to share yours this tool is a no-go," the site concluded.
The last feature would be the Enhanced Employer Pages. This is an easy and fun alternative to the regular employer pages of LinkedIn.
This allows employers two organize their pages with just three tabs mainly the Overview, Jobs and Life. The Job tab will bring you to the Employee Insight where an employer could see the applicant's previous work, skills and languages spoken.
On the other hand, the Life tab will provide employees an overview of the company they are applying. In this tab, an employee can find articles, photos and videos about the company.
However, LinkedIn users should be wary on the malware that is circulating in the site. Engadgets reported that LinkedIn has a malware named Locky that targets LinkedIn images.
"This malware tricks users to download malicious image files then hijacks users PC system once it is opened. The files in the computer will then be encrypted until the user decided to pay up," the site reported.
LinkedIn is an online job hunting site that helps users who wants to find jobs. Jobs & Hire recently pointed out the signs that an employee needs to find a new job. The site explained that if an employee is experiencing boredom, apathy and jealousy, they should consider looking for a job, LinkedIn new features might help them with that.
