For a long time, Nokia is gone on the line of the famous brands of smartphones. Though, Microsoft launched Nokia Lumia in 2014, the sales of the phones are quite low. But this coming 2017, Nokia is back and it is powered by Android.
Before Microsoft handled Nokia, the company already experimented the operating system of the phones into Android. The first one that was produced is an iPad mini clone - N1 Android. The design is almost identical to iPad mini; same screen size (7.9-inch); and have the resolution (2048 x 1536). But then, Microsoft took over the Nokia company, in which one of its veteran - Arto Nummela - moved to Microsoft and made a deal to use the name of Nokia on the smartphones. But launching of Nokia Lumia was not that successful.
This coming 2017, HMD global will license the brand and intellectual property of Nokia. HMD global will design the Android tablets and smartphones, and will also be the home of Nokia for 10 years, as reported by The Verge. The president of Nokia, Brad Rodrigues, said in the interview that; HMD Global team has talent and resource make the Nokia fit in the new generation of branded smart phones.
Jobs & Hire previously reported that Nokia allegedly revealed three smartphones: two flagship handsets and mid-range model. According to The Inquirer, speculation about the two flagship handset are named: D1C and P1 - both devices will run under the operating system of Android Nougat 7.0.
D1C will be available in various colors - just like the Lumia - which will give the users Nokia's famous feel. The HD display is 5.5 inches, with 3GB RAM with the power of Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC.
Nokia P1 on the other hand has two available sizes: 5.2 inches and 5.5 inches. The two will have the processor of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 with QHD resolution, and have a premium metal design. It is also expected to have the main camera to be powerful.
