Steven Tyler is not engaged to his girlfriend, Aimee Ann Preston, as was previously thought after the latter was seen sporting a diamond ring on her left ring finger.
According to Gossip Cop, an exclusive source of theirs has revealed that the engagement rumors are false; it is a “speculation” and a “fabrication.” Preston coincidentally chose that finger to slip the ring on.
Tyler, who is 68, and Preston, who is 28, have been together for four years after she became his personal assistant. It is then understandable that an engagement was thought to have taken place given the amount of time they have been together.
The speculation was sparked on December 3 when the couple stepped out to attend the event hosted by the Hospitality Committee for United Nations Delegations where Tyler was honored with the 2016 Humanitarian Award. However, more light was cast on the eye-catching jewelry than on the occasion and the award.
The award was in recognition of Tyler’s philanthropic partnership with Youth Villages through Janie's Fund. The fund was created by the singer a year ago in order to give voices to many girls who have been victim to neglect and abuse after he saw that their history led them to post-traumatic stress disorders, suffering, and substance problems.
"To use my voice and the voices of many others to help these girls once again find their voice is my mission,” says Tyler.
Now, although an engagement may not be happening for the couple, a grandchild is certain. Recently, Mia Tyler revealed that she is pregnant with her first child which means that the award winning musician is going to have another grandchild.
Steven Tyler already has three grandchildren from his daughter Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings). The three grandkids, Milo, Lula, and Sailor Gene, may not be having an official new grandmother yet, they will soon have another playmate.
