Many "How To Train Your Dragon" fans thought that it's just going to be four years of waiting before they can finally see Hiccup and Toothless in action once again. However, it seems like they will have to wait for one more year as the third installation of the animated movie has canceled its 2018 release date.
Universal announced on Monday that "How To Train Your Dragon 3" will be pushed back from its previously announced release date of May 18, 2018, to March 1, 2019. However, according to Movie Web, it will debut a week before Captain Marvel, and two weeks after an untitled Universal monsters reboot project.
One possible reason for the delay lies on the development of the story itself. It was reported that director Dean DeBlois is wrapping up the story with perfection to maintain or even surpass the success of the previous installments.
Moreover, "How To TrainYour Dragon 3" might be the last installment in the franchise as announced by DeBlois during an interview back in 2014. Although the fourth installation would be impossible, it was reported that DreamWorks Animation is kind of working on an animated spinoff.
The source also reported that the third installation of the franchise centers on the story behind the disappearance of the dragon - the original story as per Cressida Cowell's books. In addition, Empire also shed a glimpse on the upcoming movie's storyline. It said that the third movie will be full of challenges for Hiccup as he continue being the village chief, while Toothless will be taking new journey following the discovery of an untamed mate.
Sure it's 5 long years of waiting, but for the past two installations, the film has never disappointed its enthusiastic viewers. For the third installment, everyone is hoping that "How To Train Your Dragon" will maintain the hype among the viewers.
Meanwhile, on a distant world of Japanese anime, "Naruto Shippuden" Boruto arc release date has been confirmed. Here is a report by Jobs & Hire.
