"Rogue One" is indeed one of the biggest films that sure is making hype on the big screen. And given that it's a Star Wars film, producers and creators are definitely gonna shudder by its viewers' reactions.
One of the most significant people that are behind the film who is making quite an honest confession is director Gareth Edwards. In an interview at Skywalker Ranch, Edwards admitted that the film is putting a pressure saying "I feel like I'm standing on a sacred ground," reports The Verge. Well, this is only a natural feeling given that "Star Wars" is one of the best films in history. A legend that made every sci-fi film aficionado go crazy for good.
However, there is always a threat and opportunity to every "Star Wars" film. For "Rogue One", Walt Disney Pictures determine the tone of "Star Wars" future. In a report by Inquisitr, Disney isn't just looking at producing Star Wars trilogy films then leave with the money and never come back again. The film production company is also trying to expand the Star Wars universe just like what it did with Marvel. However, it seems that it's still hard to tell the future of "Star Wars" due to Rogue One. As long as it still not yet done with worldwide theaters, "Star Wars" future is still to be determined. Even looking at the mixed reactions from those who attented the premiere, it's hard to draw a closest theory.
A user tweeted about a negative reaction pointing a thing on Disney.
I used to love Star Wars. I am tired of Disney's political and social activism. #DumpStarWars https://t.co/mp7GoJabpj

Another user also pointed out on "Rogue One" writers Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz, hinting that anti-trump tweets from both writers might compromise the film's popularity and that Weitz's tweet puts a bad image on people with autism. Although Whitta deleted his, Weitz remains on the wall.

"Hi I'm @chrisweitz I got mad about Trump so I ruined Star Wars and bashed everyone with autism! Buy my movie" — Emo Anakin (@Emo_Anakin) December 9, 2016
Threats aside, the film still continue to excite the big fans. Many people who have watched the premiere already shared their reviews about the movie including Wil Wheaton who took to twitter his amusement.
The last time I loved a Star Wars movie as much as I loved #RogueOne, it was 1977. — Wil Wheaton (@wilw) December 11, 2016
