Vanillite, Vanillish and Vanilluxe are some of the cutest fresh snowy ice type Pokémon you can catch in “Pokémon Sun & Moon.”
A delightful looking ice cream. This description actually makes players want this three Ice Type Pokémon in their inventory. Well, for some they just like its ice abilities. This Pokémons start from a small ice cream and later evolve into a powerful twin ice cream.
To start, Vanillite is an easy Pokémon to find. Ula'ula Island, the last island in the game, is the place to go. If you are already on the island, head to Tapu Village and hunt immediately. Vanillite only appears in a hail weather given that it is an ice type Pokémon. It both rains and snows in Tapu Village. Vanillite tends to respond to snowy S.O.S battle. It is advisable to engage in a battle with a wild ice type Pokémon to keep hail falling. Vanillite only appears when it hails so keep it hailing. For those who don’t know, S.O.S catching involves the battle of two Pokémon. Specifically, a battle against an Alolan Vulpix or Alolan Sand shrew would do.
It is also recommended that you use an Adrenaline orb to encourage the Pokémon to call for help. When a same specimen arrives for back up, repeat the process until you encounter Vanillite. In the S.O.S battle, keep the wild Pokémon at low health, but prevent it from fainting.
So just like what is aforementioned, you might need to re-visit the village or try and try until you encounter Vanillite. But be careful not to let Vanillite faint when it is caught.
To catch Vanillish, its nest lies is located in the fourth island of Alola region in Mount Lanakila. Like other evolved Pokémon, it also can be caught in the wild. Catching it is easy because the process is same with Vanillite, it also will only respond in S.O.S battles so you need every Pokémon you encounter to call for help for it to appear.
Its last form, Vanilluxe, is unlike other evolved Pokémon you can just find. You need to get Vanillish to Level 47 with maximized happiness to make the last form evolved Vanilluxe successful.
More so, the greatest cheat would be stated by Pokemon Go Hub that a QR code will just allow you to register a Pokémon from Alola region to your Pokedex, and you can instantly find out where they live. But unfortunately, you can only scan once in a day.
This also works in catching non-Alolan Pokémons through a way that every scan gives you 10 points. When you reach 100, you can already use the Island scan. But, this will only give you one chance of battle, if you fail, you would wait for another two hours before it fully refreshes.
Lastly, the amazing tip is that you can find a Shiny Vanillite in the Frost Cavern. The Youtuber in the video below found the shiny ice cream in Route 7, with just 16 horde encounters. Fans have been saying that Route 7 is the best place to hunt shiny rare Pokémons. But still, this is a matter of luck since it is different for every type of Pokémon.
