On Wednesday night, Fox's "Empire" has concluded the first half of the third season. Season 3 has been one full of extreme emotion and thrill.
In the first half of the "Empire" Season 3, fans were able to witness Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) getting killed, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) being shot and his near overdosage, the imprisonment of Freda Gatz, Andre and Nessa's love affair, and Hakeem becoming a father.
Meanwhile, TVLine indicated that the mid-season finale of the "Empire" Season 3 concluded with many cliffhangers leaving the audiences in question. In an interview with Sanaa Hamri, the executive producer, Andre (Trai Byers) will become "extremely dangerous" since he has "nothing to lose".
Andre has a bipolar disorder but Lucious considers him a monster. Hamri also admitted that Andre will be the "most dangerous character" in the "Empire" TV show. Since they do not get along, Andre plots out a scheme as he will revenge over his own father. The executive producer even teased that he might be more "Machiavellian and powerful than Lucious."
Andre will be throwing his wedding band into the water, which will mark his final goodbye to Rhonda. "Empire" fans will also get to see Lucious (Terrence Howard) revenge on Diana and Angelo (Taye Diggs). However, Diana (Phylicia Rashad) will understand since she made a promise with him but she blew it off. The next episodes will also feature the journey of Jamal on how to fight his addiction and the changes that will happen to him.
Meanwhile, in another interview on the Variety, Lucious will be adamant to break Cookie and Angelo apart. Since he loves Cookie, he will do anything to protect her. At the same time, he will have vengeance over Diggs' character. In the next half of the "Empire" Season 3, Cookie will be more focusing on the rehabilitation of his son.
Sanaa Hamri also emphasized that Andre meant what he told Shyne (Xzibit) about killing his father. However, it was not certain whether he can do it or not. "He is going to kill his father. That's his goal. He wants to kill his father. That's what he's going to try to do for the second half of the season. Will he be able to do it? I don't know. He may, he may not," she said.
Since Shyne and Andre built a new bond, "Empire" Season 3 will show whether Shyne will really be on his side or on Lucious's side. Tariq will also be in deep jeopardy after the FBI knows that he is connected to Lucious.
The next half of "Empire" Season 3 will be featuring Andre's upturn and plans, Cookie and Lucious' relationship, Jamal's rehab journey, and so much more. It will also decide whether the Lyon family will still stick together.
