"The Vampire Diaries" is getting a star from "The Lying Game" in what appears to be an effort to add another storyline to the series. "The Lying Game" actress Alexandra Chando was chosen to become part of "The Vampire Diaries" cast.
TVLine reported that "The Lying Game" actress seems a perfect fit in "The Vampire Diaries," a series that appeals to young and adult alike. Chando will play a doctor in "The Vampire Diaries" although it is not yet known how her character will affect the lives of others in "The Vampire Diaries" series.
Fans of both "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Lying Game" series are pretty excited about the news. TV Fanatic reported that Chando joining "The Vampire Diaries" could mean that the producers are trying to take the series into a new direction.
"The Vampire Diaries" has been known to cast Elena Gilbert doppelgangers, but it appears that Chando will be connected to Nina Dobrev instead. Jobs & Hire previously reported that producers have been thinking about the return of Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries." Chando will play a doctor who will act alongside Damon and Stefan as they try to trap the darkest souls for Cade.
Chando will be named Tara in "The Vampire Diaries." While details have been scant about her involvement with other "The Vampire Diaries" characters, there have been speculations that she could play as one of the love birds in the series.
In the "The Lying Game," Chando played as a twin so that could mean that she has a very versatile acting ability. "The Lying Game" did not even make it to a third season before it was canceled. It is unclear what the reason of the cancellation was, but usually, series gets canceled when it does not make money.
