Bella Hadid is one of the most popular models and fashion icons in today’s generation. And on Monday at Equinox Bond Street, in New York City, the 20-year-old model is named as the new female face of the luxury Swiss watch, TAG Heuer. Hadid is the new addition to TAG’s "Don't Crack Under Pressure" ad campaign.
According to TAG Heuer’s official website, the brand gladly welcomed Hadid to their family. The brand believes that Hadid speaks the language of millennials and she is a great example for them. The millennials are the brand’s target market and by having Hadid as their new ambassador is a brilliant move for them.
CEO Jean-Claude Biver and Chairman of the Watch Division of LVMH Group shared his excitement in welcoming Hadid into the family of TAG Heuer’s ambassadors. The company believes that someone who is as confident and influential like Bella is perfect to capture the younger market.
“Having Bella on the team enables me to reconnect TAG Heuer with the Millennials and young generations, and also with the brand's avant-garde spirit, the spirit which drives us to do things differently, to innovate and to dare. The TAG Heuer family has a real team spirit,” says Biver.
During the event, Hadid stepped out wearing a black fur coat as she walked on the red carpet. Once she was already on stage, she removed her coat and wore boxing gloves to show off her fit figure and fitness moves. Hadid shared to In Style how grateful she is for all the projects and opportunities given to her especially now, during the New York Fashion Week. “I just feel so lucky that I'm able to do all of this. I feel so lucky and so happy,” says Hadid.
According to Hollywood, Hadid shared that she thinks it is beautiful to wear a watch because it always looks classy. Bella considers wearing as a fashion statement. Hadid said that she sees watches as “a beauty item, for a classic look. You could look at your phone, but I think it’s easier to have a watch.”
Meanwhile, in another endorsement related news, Jobs & Hire reported that the United States Olympic gold medallist swimmer, Ryan Lochte is back to redeem himself as the new spokesman of PowerBar. The brand believes in Lochte that is why they gave him a second chance.
