According to HollywoodHills, The CW has opted to air the "IHeartRadio Album Release Party With Lady Gaga," thinking that of course this is a much bigger deal than the show itself. While Lady Gaga fans will surely enjoy tonight's show, Originals fans will surely be left disappointed knowing that they will have to wait another week just so they can't watch Originals season 1 episode 8 online and in its primetime airing.
Nevertheless, The CW has released some promotional clips and spoilers to whet fans' appetite for the show until the latest episode airs next Tuesday night. Originals season 1 episode 8 will show to us that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) apparently survives Klaus' bite; however, it has made him very sick such that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is compelled to take care of him until he fully heals from it. Meanwhile, Klaus and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) are finally going to battle it out, and although Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is overconfident at the start of their physical fight, he ends up nowhere near the victory cup, With Marcel having him chained at the end of the preview.
