Grand Theft Auto V makers could be facing a lawsuit for purportedly using the image of actress Lindsay Lohan in the games promotional material.
According to TMZ, Lohan reportedly discussed with her lawyers to take legal action against the developer of the game franchise, Rockstar Games.
In the said material the 'supposed' character in the likeness of Lindsay Lohan asks for help trying to dodge the paparazzi as part of the game's mission.
In another image, the GTA character with similarities to the actress appeared in a hotel resembling Chateau Marmont with a mission to catch the character having sex on camera. This touches the infamous debacle that Lohan had with the West Hollywood hotel where she once lived last year for unpaid bills.
An issue was also raised regarding the cover illustration of the game with a woman's image but was then disproved as it was meant to resemble model Shelby Welinder as reported by the Daily Dot.
Erik Kain of Forbes comments that although developers may have Lohan in mind as to creating the scene it is "more likely that they are amalgams of various generic celebrities, though, rather than Lohan specifically. Certainly I think it would be very difficult to prove." he reports.
February of this year the former 'Mean Girls' star also sued Pitbull for the lyrics of his song "Give Me Everything" that supposedly pertained to her . The lawsuit apparently was thrown by the judge as the song was considered a work of art.
Grand Theft Auto V scored more than $1 billion in sales upon its release back in September.
