Cursing Toddler's Viral Video Tagged 'Disturbing & Offensive'; Child Taken Into Protective Custody [+ VIDEO]

A cursing toddler has made headlines today for a viral video that showing him babbling a series of obscenities and swearing while adults goaded him. The video was uploaded on a "local thug's public Facebook page," according to the Omaha Police Officers Association that shared the now tagged "disturbing & offensive" video titled "The Thug Cycle."

According to a CS Monitor report, the cursing toddler has been taken into protective custody, Omaha, Nebraska police said Wednesday. Meanwhile, CNN reports that three other children were also taken into custody by the Omaha police Child Victim Unit and the Nebraska Child Protective Services. No information on why the three other kids were also taken into custody was released as of late.

In the viral video, the toddler is cursing and bombarding obscenities and racial slurs to the adults surrounding him.

At one point, the African-American child could be seen knocking down a chair while responding with a middle finger sign to an adult. Then, he could be heard yelling, "Shut up, bitch!" to the adults.

The police union in Omaha, Nebraska reportedly saw this video and shared it on its website under the name "The Thug Cycle" to allegedly highlight the "cycle of violence and thuggery" in the local community.

"We here at OmahaPOA.com viewed the video and we knew that despite the fact that it is sickening, heartbreaking footage, we have an obligation to share it to continue to educate the law abiding public about the terrible cycle of violence and thuggery that some young innocent children find themselves helplessly trapped in," the post alongside the video reads.

"Now while we didn't see anything in this video that is blatantly "illegal", we sure did see a lot that is flat out immoral and completely unhealthy for this little child from a healthy upbringing standpoint," they added.

Because of this the Omaha Police officers Association are now under fire from the city's police chief, the ACLU, one community leader and other concerned citizens.

The union's president Sgt. John Wells said that the "cursing toddler" video is quite "disturbing" and "offensive."

"The focus here isn't on any particular ethnic group. The focus here is on the troubling behavior towards this child," Wells said. "This behavior is going to potentially lead this child down a path that is completely unhealthy."

On the other hand, many criticized the police union's decision to share the video on its page, adding that singling out the child was not appropriate and their generalization of "the cycle of violence and thuggery" is quite unfair to the black community.

Executive Director of Black Men United in Omaha, Willie Hamilton, said he is not tolerating such behavior shown in the viral "cursing toddler" video, but he strongly disagrees that he union has shared it to the public. Furthermore, Hamilton believes that this will heighten the tension between the black community and the police force.
