Nike is set to make a lot of noise on the sneaker market in the coming weeks as they are scheduled to release their 2014 Black History Month Collection this weekend.
For the past three years, Nike honored and celebrated the Black History Month with specialized sneakers and apparel, and this year will not be different as they are also set to pay tribute to extraordinary athletes.

"For the fourth year, NIKE, Inc. is honoring Black History Month with a collection that pays tribute to a group of extraordinary athletes and their unwavering dedication to achieving success at the highest levels. Black History Month is always a reminder that athletes worldwide representing the NIKE, Inc. brand have been inspired by a legacy of Pan-African achievement," Nike announced.
Included in the upcoming collection of impressive-looking sneaker is the newest colorway of the signature shoe of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant.
The Nike KD VI "BHM" sports a black and glossy purple-based upper part with printed designs that was allegedly made to honor the kings and queens of sports - both today and of the past generations.
The latest edition of Durant's signature kick also features an eye-catching gold swoosh and branding along with speckled midsole and specialized tongue.
This shoe will retail at $150 per pair - a price that is definitely worthy of what sneakers fans will get from the shoe.
Also included in this year's commemorative collection is an eye-popping edition of the latest signature sneaker of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.
The Nike LeBron 11 "BHM" features a black-based upper part with printed tribal designs. It also sports a shining gold Swoosh branding and LeBron James logo on the tongue along with court purple-hinted lining and outsole.
This specialized sneaker will be available for just $200 per pair.
New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony will also be a part of next month's tribute as his newest signature kick will also be included in this year's pack.
The Jordan Melo M10 "BHM" will be released alongside the sig shoes of his fellow NBA superstar. Like the two sneakers above, Melo's shoe model boats the "Sports Royalty" theme as highlighted by the gold chrome heel counter. This edition will be sold for $200 per pair.
All three eye-popping sneakers will arrive at retailers on February 1st, Saturday. All proceeds will go to the Nike Ever Higher Fund, which supports charitable works mainly for the youth through sports.
