Anderson Silva is still months or possibly years away from making a return to the Octagon if he is returning at all, but his handlers are already thinking big when it comes to the Brazilian fighter's comeback sometime next year.
Recent reports suggested that Silva, who is still recovering from the gruesome leg injury he sustained during his UFC 168 rematch with Chris Weidman, is looking to engage in a boxing match with Roy Jones Jr. before making his MMA comeback.

But aside from the possible boxing match against Jones and another rematch with Weidman, Jorge Guimares and Ed Soares is also hoping that the long-proposed super fight between Silva and Georges St-Pierre will eventually happen.
The managers of Silva said that the showdown between the two UFC legends will be good for the fans. Both MMA legends were dominant during their prime, which raised speculations that two fighters will eventually look to settle the talks about who the better fighter is.
"Man, if we were able to pull something like that off, it would be a win-win for everybody - the fans, the UFC. I think that would be awesome," said Soares on a possible showdown with GSP, who is currently out due to his self-imposed hiatus due to personal issues.
St-Pierre scored a split-decision win over Johnny Hendricks in their welterweight title showdown at UFC 167 in November last year. The 32-year-old Canadian vacated his title after the fight, citing personal reasons, but did not discount the possibility of making a return.
Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White reacted to the recent statement of Silva regarding the boxing match against the former undisputed light heavyweight champion.
White reiterated his desire to promote the boxing match, but the long-time UFC president insisted that it is still too early to talk about it since Silva is still recovering from a major injury. Silva previously expressed doubt about the MMA future of Silva after breaking his leg.
"This stuff drives me crazy," White said. "But it's always interesting with Anderson. I don't know. We'll see. Anderson a long way away from throwing a punch or a kick or anything, so let's see how he recovers before we start talking about fights."
