"Dancing With The Stars"' What Does The Fox Say? was one of the most memorable performances of the show's 2013 run, but that's not to say there weren't other dance numbers that had people jumping from their seats in excitement.
And with Season 18 just around the corner, introducing a slew of new stars, new routines and stellar music, let's take a look back at the most amazing performances of 2013.
Here are five of our favorite performances for Season 16 and Season 17:
Team Foxing Awesome, "What Does The Fox Say?" (Season 17)
As their name implies, this team dance was truly "foxing awesome." One of the most memorable performances of Season 17, "What Does The Fox Say?" epicly stood out from the rest of the routines, not only because of the insane earworm song but also because the dance routine itself was ridiculously good. Many called the performance "a controlled chaos," just a little shy of complete and utter madness that somehow resulted to a performance you won't get tired of watching over and over again.
Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough, "Beneath Your Beautiful" (Season 16)
Country star Kellie Pickler and professional dancer Derek Hough usually exuded a bubbly, carefree style throughout the competition so viewers were given a pleasant surprise with their emotional Freestyle interpretation of "Beneath Your Beautiful." Derek stripped things down and chose to go with a simple routine that was both beautiful and heartwarming. Kellie, who eventually ended up winning the season along with partner Derek, got to show off her gorgeous dance lines as well as the deep connection she shares with her partner. The result? A gorgeous and breathtaking dance routine that will remain one of our favorites.
Zendaya Coleman & Val Chmerkovskiy, "Fine China" (Season 16)
In this "Fine China" performance, Zendaya Coleman showed her awesome hip-hop skills and even got one up her ballroom-trained partner Val Chmerkovskiy. It was fun to see Chmerkovskiy stepping out of his ballroom-comfort zone and getting his "swag" on with Coleman, who obviously knew what she was doing on stage. You might say that "Dancing With The Stars" may have stepped into the realm of "So You Think You Can Dance" with this one but viewers had complaints when they were treated to an epic show.
Corbin Bleu & Karina Smirnoff & Witney Carson, Trio Jazz (Season 17)
Corbin Bleu's got a lot of singing and dancing chops hidden up his sleeve, proven by his many years in Disney, and this performance certainly showcased it. In fact, Corbin Bleu played a big part in the choreography of this Trio Jazz routine, even doling out a few tips of his own to professional dancer Karina Smirnoff. Despite the fact that Corbin had been embroiled in a controversy that he was already a professional dancer before appearing on the show, this performance still remains embedded in all of DWTS' fans.
Amber Riley & Derek Hough, Freestyle (Season 17)
Amber Riley and Derek Hough's Season 17 Freestyle routine was actually a stroke of genius on Riley's part. During Week 3 rehearsals, Riley performed a short clap routine which Hough later on brought back for this truly memorable performance. Riley, who had step team experience back in her high school years, stole the spotlight in this country western routine.
