Paul George made headlines on Saturday after allegedly sending nude photos of him to a man who pretended as a female fan of the Indiana Pacers superstar.
A gossip website reported that George became the latest victim of the classic 'catfish' scheme as one man, who pretended as a thick white girl managed to convince the All-Star forward to send private photos.
Speaking for the first time since the controversial photos leaked online, George told the Indianapolis Star said that the whole 'catfish' story is untrue, saying that he sent those photos to a woman, not a man.
"The whole story, as far as me being catfished, I know the girl that sent the pictures out," George said. "It wasn't a catfish story, it was a girl - I don't want to get into the story but I know who's behind it."
Curiously, George had another sub-par performance on Saturday after his purported nude photos leaked. He scored just eight points on 2-for-10 shooting during their 82-71 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, but the 23-year-old superstar denied that the issue affected his game.
"I'm good. A lot of it is just stuff trying to bring me down," George said. "I'm good with it. The thing that just came out, it's all a fake. It really don't have any wear on me because I know it's not true."
George admitted, though, that he is feeling angry over the situation, but he quickly added that he will use it as one of his motivations to get back on track in the final stretch of the regular season.
"Of course, you'd be angry about it because you work so hard for stuff, then you got stuff with people trying to bring you down," George said. "It does make you angry but I'm going to use it to energize me and fuel me going forward."
This is the second time George made headlines this year outside of basketball.
In February, reports indicated that the fourth-year guard impregnated a Miami-based stripper, and George allegedly offered $1 million to the exotic dancer for an abortion - an issue that was also denied by the former Fresno State standout.
