According to Pitchfork.com, NIN frontman Trent Raznor's wife is former West Indian Girl frontwoman Mariqueen Maandig. The couple made headlines after they got married since the two decided to form a new group called "How to Destroy Angels" and planned to release a self-titled, six-song album a year after they tied the knot.
Reznor reportedly put Nine Inch Nails on hiatus in 2010 to give way to his new band with his wife. Other members of "How to Destroy Angels" include Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan. They released their debut album 'Welcome Oblivion' in 2013, according to Jam Bands.
Reznor said that he will only return to Nine Inch Nails when he feels that he is ready to come back and perform with his band again.
In late 2013, Reznor and his band were back on stage again. Nine Inch Nails started a series of touring performances, which up to now is still being realized.
Just this March, during the second show of NIN in Sydney, Australia with 'Queens of the Stone Age,' the group diverted from the setlist when Trent Reznor invited his wife Mariqueen Maandig on stage to perform some of their 'How to Destroy Angels' songs such as "Ice Age" and "BBB."

In 2008, she formally announced that she was exiting the band. At the same time, she also confirmed her engagement to Reznor.
Maandig has made notable appearances as guest vocalist of LA synthpop band Ming & Ping's in their songs titled "Mixed Melodies" (2009) and "Chinatown" (2012).
Trent Reznor's wife gave birth to their first son, Lazarus Echo on October 10, 2010, and to their second son, Balthazar, on December 31, 2011.
