Apple is currently reported in hiring medical professionals in a secretive move to reinforce its employee base, which is believed to divert the company to the health tech industry which is in high demand as of the moment. According to reports, the tech company is showing interests in medical tech integration.
Just recently, Apple was spotted acquiring at least six biomedical experts and medical professionals to be added in its employee base. The company was known to quietly hiring additional people who are made up of senior medical technology executives who has experience in the biotech industry, based on reports made by Reuters, citing sources and LinkedIn pages that claims to have information about Apple's employment efforts.
Although speculations that Apple will soon be in business with the medical industry, and plans to produce products that are health technology related are still unconfirmed. Sources points out that the company is showing signs that they might be interested, while they are hiring people who has expertise in medical sensor technology that can be used in analyzing heart rates and blood-sugar levels.
Some technology companies like Apple has been showing a lot of interest when it comes to health, fitness, and medical care over the past few months. Samsung, the Korean technology company known to be a mjor rival of Apple in the smartphone industry, has created some health related features on its latest device, Galaxy S5. Similar health related features can also be seen in some wearable devices that are out in the market recently.
Rumors are spreading that Apple is currently busy in developing a wearable device that will be released this year. Some speculations points out that the wearable device Apple plans to make has technology features that can track health. The company is believed to integrate the medical technology feature on its upcoming product which is in partnership with Nike, the "smartband".
A mobile health executive was known to be the source of the reports that Apple is planning to go the distance with a release of a full health service platform, that can provide all sorts of health related apps to monitor and track the user's health, According to Reuters.
