Bomb threat was recently reported in San Francisco at the International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California, that led to an arrest of a 19-year-old teen, Jesus Ivan Yerena, who was the alleged perpetrator. The bomb threat incident was soon discovered to be a hoax which was responsible for closing down a portion of Market Street for several hours on Wednesday.
Police officers and firefighters were known to have responded to the 1100 block of Market Street on a Wednesday morning at a round 11:00 am, following reports that there was a bomb threat at a Culinary School in San Francisco. A full evacuation was conducted at the school while a k-9 bomb detection unit and a bomb squad was deployed at the premises, based on statements made by a police spokeswoman, Albie Esparza.
Th San Francisco Police Department Explosive Ordinance Unit entered the building to discover a suspicious device which consist of a ticking egg timer with an attach threatening note inside a locker at the 6th floor of the culinary school. The officers determined and declared that the device does not pose any threat or danger to the public.
Based on investigations and police reports, the perpetrator, Jesus Ivan Yerena was arrested by the police over suspicion of placing a false bomb inside the culinary school. He was later on released and cited for misdemeanor offenses. Speculations were also reported that the 19-year-old teen created the bomb threat hoax because he wanted to avoid taking the finals.
The student who was charged for misdemeanor offenses for staging a bomb threat hoax in his culinary school later on went to twitter to post a message about the recent incident, saying "Counting the amount of people I owe an apology to."
The recent bomb threat hoax in a San Francisco culinary school acted by a 19-year-old teen is a clear sign that a student will do anything just because he didn't want to take the finals.
