Real Madrid Transfer Rumors: Real Preparing To Offer £60 Million For Liverpool Striker Luis Suarez

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti recently said that the club is not expected to make big signings this summer as they will prioritize building chemistry and cohesiveness with their current roster.

However, multiple reports confirmed that Real Madrid are planning to offer a £60-million transfer deal to acquire Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer.

According to reports, Real Madrid will make a move to acquire Suarez before the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, which is scheduled to start almost a month from now.

Liverpool enjoyed a lot of success in the English Premier League this season with Suarez having one of the best seasons of his career.

The club is not expected to entertain offers for their striker, but analysts believe that Suarez himself could ask for a move, considering the fact that he previously expressed interest in playing for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid reportedly tried to lure Suarez to make a move to Spain last summer, but the 27-year-old star eventually decided to stay on the Merseyside, signing a long-term deal with Liverpool.

After having a remarkable season, which saw Suarez netting 31 goals in the 2013-14 Premier League season, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly wants his club to nab the Uruguay international from the Reds with sources adding that they are willing to spend more than the reported amount of £60 million.

Florentino is reportedly keen on adding a big-name player this summer, contrary to Ancelotti's recent statement.

Ancelotti said in a recent interview that he is not planning to make big signings this summer, arguing that Real Madrid needs patience, and not another big move.

The Real coach argued their world-record signing of Gareth Bale, who was instrumental for their Copa Del Rey triumph, is enough to make them a force to reckon with in the next several years as long as the club will preach patience.

"Building a team and adapting to the characteristics of the players takes a long time," Ancelotti said via Goal.com. "It's not natural - you have to work at it. It's necessary to know the players well and adapt them. No system guarantees you victory - all of them are valid. The answer is not always to sign the best."
