Tiger Woods & Lindsey Vonn News: Woods, Girlfriend Undergoing Rehab From Injuries Together

Golf superstar Tiger Woods and skiing champion Lindsey Vonn are still nursing injuries that prevented them from participating in recent tournaments, but the sporting couple is seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

In a recent interview, Vonn revealed that while they are disappointed with the recent setbacks that they had, they are taking advantage of their absence from their respective sports.

Vonn revealed that the recent injuries that derailed their respective careers are giving them the opportunity to strengthen their relationship, leaning on each other through rehab.

"Rehab is not a fun thing to do," Vonn said. "It's very monotonous and tedious and a lot of the same exercises over and over and over," Vonn said. "But if you're going through rehab, it's nice to have a partner to do this with, someone who relates to your situation and that you can talk to, rehab and train together."

Vonn is still recovering from a second major knee surgery, which forced her to miss her title defense in the 2014 Sochi Olympics downhill competition.

Late last year, the 29-year-old skiing star was on her way back from a surgery that repaired a torn ACL and MCL she sustained during the 2013 World Championship, but she suffered another setback.

Vonn hurt her surgically-repaired right knee while training for her campaign in Sochi, which led to her decision to withdraw from the Olympics.

Woods, on the other hand, is recovering from a surgery to treat a pinched nerve in his back. The world's No. 1 golfer expressed disappointment with the injury that forced him to miss last month's Masters, but he is also having fun undergoing rehab with his girlfriend.

"It does help to rehab with Lindsey, but her programs are much further along than mine. That does help when you're not the only one suffering," Woods said.

But while they are very eager to return to action as soon as possible, Vonn pointed out that she is always reminding Woods not to overdo the process.

"He knows I'm in pain and I know he's in pain," Vonn said. "We understand each other. It's different when you're both experiencing it at the same time, even though they're two completely different injuries."
