Sneaker fans have a lot of reasons to be excited about this weekend as several highly anticipated shoes are set to hit the market, including new colorways of three of Nike's most popular signature shoes.
Actually one those three sneakers is now available on the sneaker market - the Kobe 9 Premium "Philippines" that was released on Friday morning and is now available for retail at $180 per pair in select Nike accounts worldwide.
This edition of Kobe Bryant's latest signature shoe features a crimson-based upper part with a unique multi-color graphic design, which was inspired by the basketball courts in the Philippines, known as one the most basketball-loving countries in the world.
Also featured on the outsole is an image of "Tsinelas" or slippers, which is usually worn by ballers playing on the streets of the Southeast Asian country.
"Inspired by the basketball culture of parts of Southeast Asia, the Kobe 9 Premium features a distinct blue and red color pattern that takes its cues from the brightly painted Barangay courts where the game is often played. The woven patterns on the upper represent those found on traditional handwoven rugs. Prominently displayed on the outsole, a Tsinelas graphic is encased inside the clear patterned bottom," Nike said in the release statement.
The newest colorway of LeBron James signature shoes will also arrive at retailers this weekend.
To be released alongside the newest LeBron 11 Max Low is the latest edition of the signature shoe of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant.
The KD VI "Night Vision" features black-based upper part along with green and atomic mango hints on several areas of the impressive-looking kick.
This night vision-inspired edition of Durant's sixth signature shoe will be available for $130 per pair in select Nike accounts worldwide.
