"Hannibal" Season 3 Spoilers - After the cliffhanging season two finale of NBC's hit psychological-thriller series, "Hannibal," the latest spoiler updates are getting intense and more exciting.
With just more than a month away before "Hannibal" Season 3 premieres this summer, showrunner Bryan Fuller recently revealed some interesting hints to Digital Spy as the Will Graham-Hannibal Lecter chase continues.
Here are the 6 deliciously thrilling scoops that about "Hannibal" Season 3.
1. Fannibals must get ready for a James Bond-like chasing and action in the first few episodes, Franchise Herald shared.
"I love Ridley Scott's Hannibal, I just think it's such a fun, gruesome movie that kind of harkens back to Hammer films, and it's Hannibal as James Bond," Fuller said. "There's qualities of that that we wanted to bring to the first chapter of the third season, which is the Italy-based material."
2. "Hannibal" Season 3 features Hannibal's relationship with Bedelia Du Maurier, Latin Post revealed.
In the first episode titled, "Antipasto," Will Graham will be missing in action. And while waiting to see who survived Hannibal's last attack, Hannibal's other love affair with his own psychotherapist Bedelia Du Maurier will be shown.
"It really does feel like 'What are we watching?' Will Graham isn't in it, none of the other familiar characters are in it, it's just Hannibal and Bedelia and their history over three different periods of time," Fuller stated.
3. The upcoming season will be divided into two separate parts of seven and six episodes, as previously hinted.
In the previous spoiler, the first seven Italian cuisine-based titled episodes will focus on the aftermath of the last season's cliffhanging finale. While episodes eight through thirteen will all be named after William Blake's series of "Great Red Dragon Paintings," depicting scenes from the biblical "Book of Revelation."
Specifically, Episode eight is titled, "The Great Red Dragon"; Episode nine is "And the Woman Clothed in Sun"; Episode ten is "And the Woman Clothed with the Sun" and Episode eleven is "And the Beast from the Sea." However, Fuller didn't reveal the titles for episodes twelve and thirteen.
4. In "Hannibal" Season 3 second chapter, a new twist will be centered on serial killer Francis Dolarhyde, who will be treated more like a third lead character than a supporting player, as Fashion & Style reported.
"He is in the show almost as much as Hugh and Mads are in the second half of the season," Fuller revealed. "So we really spend a lot of time with Dolarhyde, in a way that neither of the movies have had the real estate to."
5. "Hannibal" Season 3 promises a bittersweet reunion between Hannibal and Will, another Fashion & Style article reported.
"There's a scene that is so touching, when they're finally reunited and able to have a conversation," Fuller said. "Mads and Hugh and their friendship are such amazing assets to the show, and you see all of that. It's like 'It's really good to see you, but this is a terrible situation that we're in, and you're actually a terrible person, but I've found a way to forgive you in the way you forgive a shark for being a shark'."
6. Fuller hinted that the "freakiest stuff" lies in episodes seven and twelve in particular. According to Digital Spy, one scene in episode twelve involving Dolarhyde was so intense that the filming crew was taken by surprise.
"It's one bit in particular that's from the books, and we see it probably more graphically on our show than you have in any of the movies," Fuller said. "When we did that scene, you're supposed to be silent when you're watching, but the entire crew gasped and shrieked..."
In the meantime, "Hannibal" Season 3 has been scheduled to return to television on June 4, Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC.
