63 units of $3,200 iPhone 6S, with Russian President Vladimir Putin's head engraved at the back of the phone, will be sold in celebration of his 63rd birthday, Mashable reported.
Why would it be that expensive? It is because apparently, Caviar — a Russian jeweller known for its luxurious remakes of Apple products — coated Putin's head, at the back of iPhone 6S, with gold.
It was named "Caviar Ti Gold Supremo Putin Anniversario Edizione 63."
Additionally, the back of the $3,200 iPhone 6S Putin is reportedly made of titanium. Other than the Russian President's profile, the country's emblem and a plaque with a verse from Russia's national anthem are also engraved at the rear of the phone, and check this, they were also coated in gold.
On top of that, the buyer will get a lavish wooden case with a free car charger, TNW learned. Interested buyers may also pick up a carrying case for the $3,200 iPhone 6S Putin, starting at $306.
There are reportedly two variants of iPhone 6S Putin limited edition being offered, and that doesn't include the 16GB. Customers can choose between the 64GB at $3,193 or 199,000 rubbles and the 128GB at $3,356 or 209,000 rubbles.
The $3,200 iPhone 6S Putin special edition is listed under the website's Supremo section, according to Wired. The report further stated that the section featured products dedicated to people who made history and stood as role models.
"It celebrates strong character, strong willed decisions and confident actions of these people that changed the world," the site continued.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on 7 October 1952. Before entering politics, Putin was an officer in the KGB for 16 years.
Putin has been the President of Russia from 2000 to 2008. He came back to office on May 7, 2012, assuming the position from his predecessor Dmitry Medvedev.
