"Wonder Woman" film is currently in pre-production, and since its announcement, details about Warner Bros.' upcoming film has been kept under the wraps. Earlier reports speculated that the film will be divided into two time periods, which will allow the audience to understand the origin of Gal Gadot's character.
Currently, there are new claims that "Wonder Woman" film will, in fact, be divided into three distinct timelines. A source, whose identity remains anonymous, told Den of Geek that it was possible that "the story will move through a different period for each act."
The first setting will be Themyscira, Comic Book learned from the report. This is the home island of Princess Diana, also known as "Wonder Woman," which is hidden from the rest of the world.
The next time period will be in 1916, at the middle of the World War I. We Got This Covered presumed that this would be the segment of the film where Wonder Woman will meet the wounded Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine.
"Wonder Woman" film will then transition to the modern day, where it will reportedly connect with the events of "Justice League Part 1," which is also slated for 2017 release.
The anonymous source added that Gadot's character costume would change, reflecting a specific time period. This hyped the fans as they will see not just one, but three Diana Price armors in two-year's time.
Another rumor suggested that the film might pull a "Captain America: The First Avenger," having the costume evolve throughout the film, according to what Collider has learned.
The "Wonder Woman" film, under the tutelage of Patty Jenkins, is set to be released on June 23, 2017.
Gadot will also make an appearance as "Wonder Woman" in Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," slated to be released on March 25, 2016, and "Justice League Part 2" in 2019.
