The iPhone 3D Touch is arguably the most standout feature on the new iPhone 6S, much like in the same vein of Siri for the iPhone 4S or the security touch for the 5S.
Sadly, it's pretty much an exclusive feature for the 6S and 6S Plus until now. According to Mashable, there's now a way for you to add 3D touch to your old iPhone, that is if you're willing to jailbreak it.
As noted, a jailbroken phone running Apple's latest iOS 9, can point themselves to the Cydia app store and download "Forcy," a free app that gives non-3D touch iPhone the ability to have the 3D touch feature.
Because it's one of the best things about the iPhone 6S, it's desired by many who wants a new level of interaction with the iOS interface. However, Wired cautioned that even though it is tempting, users should think twice when deciding on jailbreaking their iPhones.
But if you really want this cool new feature and a bit of a risk taker, then go ahead and do it. Just consider yourself warned about the possible repercussions of the jailbreak.
In a related report, Apple has shared a new commercial for the recently released iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Specifically, it focused on its most standout feature, the 3D Touch technology.
According to 9 to 5 Mac, Apple described the new "Peek and Pop" method using the iPhone's newest feature. The ad then showcased the 3D Touch to quicky access navigation directions, music playlists, messages and even Instagram profiles.
The new iPhone 3D Touch ad includes the tagline "The only thing that's changed is everything." This line is used by Apple many times when describing the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Apart from the 3D Touch, the American tech company also showcased a handful of new Apple Watch ads that highlighted the device's health, navigation and communication features and would likely to continue releasing new TV ads during the incoming holiday shopping season.
Watch the video below to find out how to get the 3D Touch for your old iPhones.
