It's confirmed! Spanish actor Antonio Banderas will be joining the 'Expendables 3' crew along with fellow veteran actor Mel Gibson, a representative of Sylvester Stallone told reporters. Both Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson got some attention earlier this year because of rumors that they will be part of the new 'Expendables' cast. Now it's confirmed that they will be seen in the 2014 movie.

Just a few days ago, Sylvester Stallone told reporters that Bruce Willis will no longer be a part of the third addition of the movie franchise but that Harrison Ford will be joining the stars studded cast.

Gibson was linked to the movie in June of 2013 while he and his team were in talks about his role in 'Expendables 3'. Gibson who played 'Mad Max' first appeared as an action hero in the 80s. Much like his peers in the industry, Gibson expanded his acting career to other roles. He starred in 'What Women Want', 'Maverick' among others.

Gibson will play the villain, reports say but there's no news on what role Banderas will play in the film. Stallone is excited about appearing on the silver screen with Banderas again, according to sources. The two starred in the 1995 film 'Assassins'.

Stallone told Huffpost Entertainment in a statement that Banderas is a "consummate actor and a gentleman. Banderas, aside from being a badass action hero, also played the role of Puss in Boots in the film series 'Shrek'.

While many fans are disappointed that Willis will no longer be in the movie franchise, more are disappointed with how he reportedly acted. Ford replaced the 'Die Hard' star a few days ago after demanding a million dollars a day. Stallone took to Twitter and said Bruce Willis is "greedy and lazy". So far, there's still no statement coming from the Willis camp.
